As much as we wish we could control the weather we have to deal the cards Neptune deals us. Running a day sailing business we can’t cancel every trip due to less than perfect conditions but the Maine coast is always beautiful!

Fog is a fact of life in Maine and if it is foggy we will sail. Usually we will head up into Somes Sound where the fog often will clear up. Even if it does not clear it is deep all the way to the shore so we can get in close and sailing in the fog has it’s own kind of beauty.
If the winds are light we will sail. Usually we can find some zephyrs of wind to glide along in peace and quiet but if you would rather use the motor to explore further be sure to ask your captain about your options.
